Sweating, it comes across as gross, even unpleasant. However it is a very natural response by your body. One that keeps the body cool, and prevents a person from becoming overheated. I have found myself constantly encouraging others to sweat. It is a sign of effort, and effort is a must when you are working toward fitness goals.
Sweating is your body’s reaction to overheating. When you work out, you increase your heart rate and use energy, thus producing heat. It is not safe to allow your body to become too hot, so your body gets rid of the extra heat by sweating. During an intense training session your body will produce a lot of heat through vigourous exercise. Therefore if you want to reach your goals, whether it is losing weight or gaining it, if you aren't sweating your aren't working hard enough!
So the next time you are working out, run a little harder or lift those weights a few more times and feel your effort pouring out of your pores.
